Fairly random. Nothing about this seems incestuous.
I don't remember exactly what I was thinking when I drew this so long ago, but I think it was supposed to be Luna's return... Why would Celestia be sad if Luna was back? Luna's herself again, not crazy Nightmare Moon, and I think Celestia would be feeling joyful and Forgiving.
My mom made a weird comment about them, not knowing they were sisters, and I have unfortunately seen some weird shipping...hence the disclaimer.

I wouldn't consider it the weirdest of shippings (Nightmare Moon x Celestia, Luna x Sombra, Celestia x Chrysalis, etc... are all worse). Its rather sweat in a way. The best of friends make the best of lovers and it would guarantee them a lasting partner, each other, throughout time. It made sense in Hancock > >.
